Membership Criteria and Admission Procedure
CFLA membership is open to any company, limited liability partnership (LLP) companies, firm, and any other association of persons in India who are manufacturers, merchants, traders, distributors, dealers of footwear, leather, accessories and components thereof, or other trade bodies and other chambers of commerce who are promoting and representing the footwear, leather, accessories and components industry. There are two categories of membership in CFLA (a) Ordinary Membership, and (b) Associate Membership.

Application and Renewal Procedure
Application for membership shall be made by the applicant in writing in the prescribed form, which shall be signed by the applicant and submitted to the Managing Committee of CFLA. Such an application shall be proposed by one and seconded by another member or any two subscribers to the Memorandum of Association of CFLA. The application shall contain an acceptance of, and an agreement to abide by, the rules and regulations of CFLA.
The Managing Committee shall decide all questions relating to eligibility for membership of any applicant, admission of any member, regulate the terms and conditions of membership including termination of membership of any member and its decision shall be final and it shall not be bound to assign any reason for its action. The application shall contain an acceptance of and an agreement on the aforesaid condition and the condition that the applicant shall not challenge any action of the Managing Committee for the above purpose.
In the case of all membership applications, the membership shall commence and the subscription will be payable from the beginning of the financial year during which the applicant is admitted to membership by the Managing Committee as per Article 5 of the Article of Association of CFLA.
An applicant who is admitted as member of CFLA in the above manner shall be categorized as (a) Ordinary Member, or (b) Associate Member, and accordingly will be issued Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) subject to production of below documents and information:
- Application Form for RCMC
- A self-certified copy of the IEC number issued by the licensing authority concerned
- A self-certified copy of SSI certificate/industrial license issued by the licensing authority concerned
- Proof of latest annual report/audited accounts along with auditor’s certificate
Renewal of membership will be due on 1st April every year and shall be payable within three months. The Managing Committee may, however, grant an extension of the period as may be necessary. A member whose membership fee is outstanding at the end of the stipulated period shall cease to be a member of the council. Any member whose annual membership fee is outstanding on the 1st of October of the year proceeding to the year of election shall not be entitled to contest or vote for any elective post.
The member shall have to produce the following documents at the time of renewal of membership:
- Membership renewal application form
- Applicable membership fee through account payee cheque/demand draft/RTGS/NEFT in favour of Council for Footwear Leather and Accessories payable at New Delhi
- Member’s data updated form in the prescribed format along with certificate from auditor
- Last annual report/audited accounts, company profile, latest list of directors/governing council, latest details of subsidiaries, parent, associate and group companies
Become an Ordinary Member
Ordinary Member
Any manufacturer of footwear or leather or accessories or components with a minimum of Rs. 5 crore worth of domestic sales turnover in each of the preceding three financial years, or such amount of domestic sales turnover as may be determined by the Managing Committee from time-to-time and having at least 50% of its sales turnover from domestic sales in the previous financial year, are eligible to apply, and subject to the provisions of Article 4 of Articles of Association of CFLA shall be categorized as Ordinary Member with voting rights at the General Meeting of CFLA.
Membership Fee
The entrance fee for associate membership is Rs. 5,000/- as defined in Article 7 (a) of Articles of Association of CFLA; the fee shall be refunded in case the application is rejected.
The subscription fee for new and renewal of membership is Rs. 50,000 per annum.

Become an Associate Member
Associate Member
Any merchant or trader or exporter or distributor or dealer of footwear, leather, accessories and components thereof, or other trade bodies, chambers of commerce in India who are promoting and representing the footwear, leather, accessories and components industry or manufacturer not covered under Ordinary Membership criteria, or multinational corporations in India/Indian companies/Indian firms/Indian liaison offices who have a direct or indirect relationship with foreign companies/foreign firms/foreign persons, either by virtue of shareholding or management interest or otherwise in the entity in India, are eligible to apply, and subject to the provisions of Article 4 of Articles of Association of CFLA shall be categorized as Associate Member with no voting rights at the General Meeting of CFLA.
Membership Fee
